Posting artworks

I had been creating new graphics on CorelDraw. Right now it is still my favorite programs. I like the idea of anything I create is scalable to any size I like. Drawing in vectors is different than drawing in raster. The problem is that my graphic files get so huge that it can 10 minutes to load up and regenerate and 30 minutes to spools to the printer. I create with too much effects and details. I do the same with PhotoShop; I go into a lot of layers and channels. Both programs would lock up my computer so I have to save often. I would only put thumbnails of my art  and photos for viewing. Please give me input of what you think.
